Linda Nathan MSc

After a long career in market research, the last 10 of which were at senior management level, she decided on a career change. She therefore has an understanding of both the demands of high-level responsibilities and the process of personal change.

Her market research career equipped her with an understanding of the tools of effective management and with the opportunities for training and development of staff.

She has trained people in organisations such as Office of the Deputy Prime Minister, Department for Transport, Highways Agency, DEFRA, Saneline, The Samaritans, Ronin Corporation, The Market Research Society and a number of small charities and private sector companies.

Linda has extensive experience of depth interviewing and group facilitation from her research career. She is a trained and BACP accredited psychodynamic counsellor and is therefore well equipped to explore motivation and to assist in goal setting and achievement. She also works as a trainer for those wishing to improve their interpersonal skills in the work environment.

She has been working as a management coach since 1998. She helps coachees to focus on the ways in which they make choices and to think creatively about options. She is also a member of the International Coach Federation and abides by their Code of Conduct.

For the last 18 months she has played a key part as one of the coaches delivering a very substantial Leadership Programme to the top 700 civil servants within a Government Department.

Her approach to coaching is concerned with understanding the processes of change in the belief that understanding can broaden choice. Linda tries to challenge set patterns of behaviour and to explore where they originated and where they might lead. She works with coachees to help them give and receive motivation, feedback, and mentoring and to reframe situations if appropriate.
